NorthSide Church of Christ celebrated it’s 70th anniversary this past Sunday. The planning stage for Northside began in 1950 to serve as the gathering place for the Black members to worship. The building was completed and opened for worship in 1955. The roof was replaced in July of this year by a roofing company inspired by the church still moving forward. Bette and John Hope designed a new sign for the building. NorthSide is located at 530 W. Monroe members of the community are invited to worship.
