Capitol Elementary hosted their 2025 Annual Spelling Bee last week. The Bee started with 29 spellers and went for nine rounds before Gracie Mejia won the Bee spelling, 'groves.' Yaneley Adame was the runner-up in the Bee, and Xavier Soliz came in as Alternate. The District Spelling Bee will be on March 10th at LMS Mrs. Amy Pebsworth was the coach for the Spelling Bee and LaGayle Stephenson, Stacey Waddill, and Donna Pugh were judges.
