The Levelland Main Street Program, Levelland Marigolds and SPC Student Relations announced the return of “Unwrapped: Festival of Lights – Christmas on the Square” holiday celebration set for Dec. 4.
The event will begin at 6 p.m. at South Plains College where Dr. Robin Statterwhite, Santa and Mrs. Claus will light the Parade of Trees at the West Entrance on College Avenue. Following the lighting, Santa and Mrs. Clause will lead the parade into downtown Levelland. The parade will feature floats from local businesses, schools, organization, families and nonprofits, celebrating the theme “Downtown Levelland Unwrapped.” The parade will travel from 11th Street at Lobo Lake and stop to deliver Santa Claus to the square.
Visitors can meet Santa at the Gazebo where Levelland Marigolds will distribute colorful tickets. Guest may explore other festivities until their color lights up as a signal to join the line to see Santa while enjoying performances by talented local musicians.
Festival activities will include the Snowball Crossing, North Pole Park and Window Walk and food trucks.
