Elizabeth Nicole Van Zandt married Cody Blain Hamm August 27, 2022, at Rest Yourself River Ranch in Mineral Wells, Texas, with Pastor Michael Moore officiating. Elizabeth is the daughter of Eddie and Carla Van Zandt and the granddaughter of Charlene Shifflett and E.L. and Martha Van Zandt. Cody is the son of Ted Hamm of Corpus Christi and Dina Beaty of Anton and the grandson of Squeaky and Paul and Todd and Betty Coomer. The bride wore a Pronovias Anitra wedding gown. The stunning crepe gown featured a sleek bateau neckline, embroidered cap sleeves with a breathtaking scoop back, that was framed in carefully with cut lace placement, mirrored in the mermaid skirts with delicate edging.
The bouquet was made from leather turquoise, terra cotta and creme flowers, with long leather fringe and a leather feather engraved with Regardless.
To complete this ravishing look, the bride wore her something borrowed from her mother, Carla, that included sparkling diamond earrings and a red garnet birthstone ring.
For something new, old and blue, the bride wore an Indian made turquoise and terra cotta bracelet that was made in 1917.
Her turquoise fringed boots gave this incredible ensemble a pop of color. The bride’s maid of honor was Kasey Marie Van Zandt, sister of the bride, from Jacksonville, Florida, and her bridesmaid was best friend, Krista Coffield, from keystone, Florida.
They wore floor length turquoise dresses with a Vneckline and lovely butterfly sleeves. They each carried leather bouquets with their own personal engravement on the leather.
The groom wore a black suit jacket accompanied by a white shirt and a turquoise tie that matched the brides boots. Finishing the look with cowboy boots and a cowboy hat that displayed a turquoise band.
The groom’s best man was his dear friend, Ryan Zink, of Lubbock, and his groomsman was his cousin, Bry Todd of Lamesa.
They also wore black suit jackets, white shirts, turquoise tie, cowboy boots and a cowboy hat matching the groom.
The flower girls were Autumn Baldwin, daughter of Casey and Stephanie Baldwin; and Hudson and Haigan McCandless, both cousins of the groom and daughters of Laci and Jonathan.
They wore floor length Aline scoop neck dresses. The beautiful tulle top was white, while the bottom was terra cotta, with a matching terra cotta ribbon that accented the waist.
They carried homemade boxes filled with wooden flowers and heart shaped pictures of the bride and groom.
The ring bearers were Crosston and Elijah Walker, sons of Colter and Kalli Walker.
Elijah carried a heart shape box with the rings, while Corsston carried a sign that read “love never fails.”
They wore white shirts, jeans, cowboy hats and boots.
The bridal party entered down the isle to “Something In The Orange” instrumental by Philip Bowen.
The arch way was overhanging trees shaped into a heart overlooking the majestic Brazos River from a 150 foot cliff.
The seating for the guest were benches made of smooth cedar that sat upon rustic logs cut down to knee high.
Each bench exhibited a homemade sign of 1 Corinthians 13:4-5.
The bride was escorted by her father, Eddie, down the aisle to “Beauty & the Beast, Tale as old as Time” by Piano Lullabies.
The bride and groom, each wrote their own vows.
A light sprinkle fell upon the wedding as if the clouds were weeping listening to the words of love being exchanged by the bride and groom.
After the rings were exchanged, the bride and groom took place in the traditional foot washing, a sign of serving each other through their marriage, while in the background the song “Rattle” by Elevation Worship reunited the air.
Afterwards, Pastor Micheal pronounced them as husband and wife.
The newlyweds, along with the wedding party, exited to “Meet In the Middle” by Diamond Rio.
The reception took place in the Great Lodge, with large rustic wooden beams, lace accents hung from the beams, with a large white stone fireplace accented with terra cotta floors. The Great Lodge was filled with fragrent homemade food served by family and friends of the bride and groom, that included: brisket, turkey, maple glazed ribs, brown sugar glazed salmon, sausage, smoked mac-ncheese, BBQ baked beans, potatoes salad, spaghetti and chicken Alfredo. The rustic wooden tables featured white lace table clothes with terra cotta cheesecloths, including mason jars filled with engagement pictures of the bride and groom, along with cacti, miniature lassos and bull skull heads to make the perfect center piece. All handmade by the bride and her sister, Kasey Van Zandt.
The wedding cakes were made by the mother of the bride Carla, and her niece and cousin.
The rustic chic three-tiered cake was drizzled of terra cotta icing with turquoise and terra cotta flowers. The groom’s cake was made with the logo of the bride and grooms company Kicking Back Refrigeration Heating and Air.
After the dinner service, the wedding party moved to Bri’s Patio, a balcony that overlooked the majestic Brazos River and green lush trees and bushes. The DJ, Jeff, with Alliance Entertainment Group, announced the new couple as Mr. and Mrs. Hamm, as they sashayed onto the dance floor as husband and wife, and danced to “Too Fancy Like” by Walker Hayes. The father-daughter dance was to “When God Made You My Father” by Riley Roth and the mother-son dance was to “Mother” by Sugarland. After the first dances were made, Kasey Van Zandt, sister of the bride, and Ryan Zink, best friend of the groom, gave a lovely toast to the newlyweds. Afterwards, the dance floor filled with joy and love as the wedding celebrated the two. After the dance, the bride and groom shared one last dance, taking in the once in a lifetime day that will be special for the rest of their lives, and danced to “Stand In Your Love” by Bethel Music and Josh Baldwin. As the night wrapped up, the send off had everyone lined up near the entrance of the venue and each guest held glow sticks out while the newlyweds made their exit. The honeymoon took place in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where they explored mountains, camped and ventured to Lamoni, Iowa.
The couple plan to reside in Lubbock and within a few years, they plan on making their grand escape to Fort Worth, Texas. The Hamms started the first chapter of their new lives together, with many more still be written.
