Ghoulish Delights

Making Halloween fun for kids is always a goal for any parent, from costumes to Trickor- Treating and the perfect Halloween parties. Finding unique treats is always a challenge, these recipes can make it easy.

Glow-in-the-Dark Rice Krispies Treats Ingredients:

6 cups Rice Krispies cereal 4 cups mini marshmallows ¼ cup unsalted butter 2 tablespoons tonic water ½ teaspoon vanilla extract Neon food coloring (

Instructions:

In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the marshmallows and tonic water to the melted butter, stirring continuously until the marshmallows are fully melted.

Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.

Add a few drops of your chosen neon food coloring to the marshmallow mixture, stirring until evenly colored.

Gently fold in the Rice Krispies cereal until well coated with the marshmallow mixture.

Press the mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Use a piece of parchment paper to press down and smooth the top.

Let the treats cool at room temperature until set.

Slice into squares and serve.

These treats will glow under black light due to the tonic water.

Halloween Spider Cookies

Want a cool Halloween dessert or snack? All that’s needed are favorite cookies, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, candy eyes, and some chocolate drizzle.

Ingredients:

16 Sugar Cookies 16 Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Minis 36 Candy Eyes 1 bag Chocolate Candy Melts

Instructions:

Bake or buy sugar cookies. If baked, let cool.

Melt the candy melts and place either in a pastry bag or use a zip lock baggie and cut of the corner.

Take a Reese’s and place some melted chocolate along the bottom and press the Reese’s onto the divot in the cookie. Let the Reese’s set and dry.

Take the candy eyes and place a dab of melted chocolate on the back and place on the side of the Reese’s .

Use the melted chocolate to pipe spider legs on the cookie.

Let the chocolate dry, serve and enjoy.
