Who could ever find a wife like this one-she is a woman of strength and mighty valor! She’s full of wealth and wisdom. The price paid for her was greater than many jewels. Her husband has entrusted his heart to her, for she brings him the rich spoils of victory. All throughout her life she brings him what is good and not evil. She searches out continually to possess that which is pure and righteous. She delights in the works of her hands. She gives out revelation truth to feed others. She is like a trading ship bringing divine supplies from the merchant. Even in the night season she arises and sets food on the table for hungry ones in the house and for others. She sets her heart upon a field and takes it as her own. She labors there to plant the living vines. She wraps herself in strength, might and power in all her works. She tastes and experiences a better substance, and her shining light will not be extinguished. No matter how dark the night. She stretches out her hand to help the needy and she lays hold of the wheels of government. She is known by her extravagant generosity to the poor, for she always reaches out her hands to those in need, she is not afraid of tribulation for all her household is covered in the dual garments of righteousness and grace. Her clothing is beautifully knit together a purple gown of exquisite linen. Her husband is famous and admired by all eating at the venerable judge of his people. Even her works of righteousness she does for the benefit of her enemies. Bold power and glorious majesty are wrapped around her as she laughs with joy over the latter days. Her teachings are filled with wisdom and kindness as loving instruction pours from her lips. She watches over the ways of her household and meets every need they have. Her sons and her daughters arise in one accord to extol her virtues and her husband arises to speak of her in glowing terms. There are many valiant and noble ones, but you have ascended above them all! Charm can be deceiving and beauty is vain and so quickly fades, but the virtuous woman lives in wonder, awe and fear of the Lord. She will be praised throughout eternity. So do ahead and give her the credit that is due, for she has become a radiant woman, and all her loving works of righteousness deserve to be admired at the gateway of every city. Proverbs 31:10-31 TPT Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful women who have been given the amazing, challenging, and sometimes daunting responsibility of raising God’s heritage, the next generation. Today we take the day to celebrate the amazing creation you are. A woman was the last of God’s creation and after He made her, God looked at all creation and said it is very good. This world would not be complete without women. Where would our families and communities be without the amazing women that God blessed us with. Sadly, we are living in a time where the contribution of women is no longer celebrated, but they are expected to wear so many hats and fulfill so many roles that many have become exhausted and do not know their true worth and value. I find it interesting that in our generation, women are not honored for who they are and what they bring to the table. Even in many churches they are delegated to almost a second class without the freedom to be what God has called them to be. Then in the world setting, there are men who are squashing their abilities and killing their dreams and destiny by competing in women’s sports. And the most ludicrous thing of all, is a man who is so delusional that he believes he can birth a child and nurse it. It makes me wonder why the emotional and social attack on women has been so hard. While I believe that every human being is precious in the sight of God and everyone of us are given a destiny and the gifts and talents that they need to fulfill their dreams, God has given the women a special grace and calling to take the seed a man places inside of her and to nurture it and to provide a safe environment for the baby to grow in and when the time comes, to birth and raise every child to love God. God told the serpent in the Garden of Eden, “I will put enmity between you and the woman.” When a woman is walking with God and fulfilling her destiny, she is a force to be reckoned with. Ask any woman what happens to someone who messes with her children and most will tell you that is a dangerous place to be. No wonder women feel exhausted and overwhelmed with the honor of raising the next generation (and no it does not stop when they turn 18 or graduate from high school.) Today I want to bless you and encourage you that with God you are more than enough to be the mother God created you to be. You do not have to look like anyone else, you do not have jump through the same hoops society and even the church wants for you to be a good mother. God knew ahead of time who your son and or daughter would be and He placed inside of you the abilities and grace you would need to raise them so they will walk out their destiny. Go back and read Proverbs 31, and look at the diversity of ways this woman changed her family, her community and even the government. Deborah in the of Judges said, “village life had ceased until I, a mother in Israel arose.” Perhaps you are wondering, in my crazy demanding life, how can I arise and do even more? Isaiah 40:31 reveals the secret of gaining strength and rising, “But those who wait on the Lord, shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wingss ike eagles, they shall run and not be weary they shall not walk and not faint.” Our strength come from time spent with God. Jesus said in John 5:15 “I am the vine and you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit. For without me you can do nothing.” Being a mother is not easy it requires lots of energy, wisdom and devotion and to be successful we need to understand that we cannot do it well without a relationship with Jesus.

Paul encouraged Timthy in 2 Timothy 1:6 “Therefore I remind you to stir you the gift of God which is in you.” As you read this article, I pray that the gifts that God has already placed inside of you be stirred. Let me remind you today that you are fearfully and wonderfully made,” Psalm 139:14. God designed you to raise the children He has entrusted you to raise. “ “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. For by me your days will be multiplied, and years will be added to you.” Proverbs 9:10-11. You are important and what you do makes a huge difference. Your righteousness not only sets the course for your children, it will change the culture around you. “When it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices.” Proverbs 11:10-11. I pray Deuteronomy 30:9 over you today- may “the Lord your God make you abundantly prosperous in every work of you hand and in the fruit of your body… for the Lord will again delight in prospering you.” This is your day to shine. “Arise and shine; for the light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen on you.” Happy Mother’s Day!
