On Thursday, Santa did the countdown for SPC’s annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at South Plains College at the entrance to the Levelland campus. The ceremony kicked off Levelland’s Festival of Lights and Christmas on the Square.

Blanca Espinoza was selected as Miss Caprock 2024 for South Plains College during the 66th annual Scholarship Pageant on Nov. 22 in the Tom T. Hall Production Studio on the Levelland campus.Espinoza, 24, is a sophomore cosmetology major from Seminole.

Bill’s Backpack seeks donations

Bill’s Backpack of Levelland continues to take food and monetary donations to ensure pantry is stocked for students during Christmas holidays.Food item for the month of December is pudding cups.Foods accepted all year include: Pop-Tarts, macaroni & cheese cups, breakfast bars and pudding cups.
