Vehicle inspection rules change Jan.1

Beginning January 1, 2025, Texas vehicle owners will no longer be required to obtain a safety inspection prior to vehicle registration.House Bill 3297, passed during the 88th Legislature in 2023, abolishes the vehicle safety inspection program for noncommercial vehicles.

AMERICAN FFA DEGREE—2022 Levelland High School graduate Ashley Austin earned her American FFA Degree. While at Levelland High School, Ashley was a Hockley County Ag Ambassador, and she was active in all aspects of FFA. She was also involved in NHS & YELL. To obtain this degree, Ashley had to earn the State FFA Degree, keep records, and earn 50 hours of community service while attending university in an agricultural education program. Less than 1% of FFA Members obtain this degree.
