SPC, Texas Tech alumni associations hosts tailgate Sept. 14

The alumni associations of South Plains College and Texas Tech will host a tailgate before Tech’s football game against the University of North Texas on Sept. 14. The tailgate will begin at 8 a.m. at the Frazier Alumni Pavilion on the Tech campus and will remain open throughout the game.

LMS 6th Graders in Mrs. Reba Griggs' Coding Class experienced their introduction to coding. They learned about writing algorithms (instructions) and practiced running their programs with robot arm peers to create a stack of cups.
ESCAPE ARTISTS - The City of Sundown Library hosted multiple programs for area families which included an escape room as a fundraiser for the library’s gamer lounge. Sundown summer reading program recaps summer fun

As summer has come to an end, the City of Sundown Library recapped a few of their favorite activities or moments that took place during their Summer Reading Program.The library hosed multiple programs for area families.

State v. Luis Angel Salas, probation revoked for the offense of possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1, between one gram and four grams. Punishment assessed included confinement for a period of eight months, a fine of $250 and restitution of $180.State v.

Home Sweet HoCo music schedule

Popular musicians in the South Plains will perform during this year’s Home Sweet HoCo starting at 10:30 a.m. on Aug. 24. Attendees who want to enjoy the free music entertainment are invited to bring their lawn chairs to the Gazebo on the Hockley County Courthouse Square.
