FEMA Disaster Recovery Center encourages visits

Community members of Hockley County are continued to be reminded that a FEMA Disaster Recovery Center has opened as of June 24 at the Civic Center located at 1900 McKinley at the Levelland City Park.Hours of operation will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. until July 12.

Disposing firework debris

Community members are throughout Hockley County are being reminded to be dispose of firework debris following their activities.Fireworks are not considered household hazardous waste and can be placed in your garbage container for removal.

JRCA Finals Rodeo set July 10-13

Levelland will host the JRCA Finals Rodeo from July 10-13 at the Mallet Arena & Event Center.On July 10 at 7 p.m. there will be a scholarship rodeo along with a mother and son ribbon roping and father and daughter goat tying. Rodeo performances will start both July 11 and 12 at 8 a.m.
