The Wallace Theater Board announced the success of The Love Levelland Benefit Concert featuring the Jenni Dale Lord Band, held at Bolen Vineyards on June 8.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of the community and key sponsors, this event has raised a total of $7,300 in support of Love Levelland’s vital community initiatives.
Following the devastating storms that struck Levelland on May 29th, the community rallied together to support those affected. The Wallace Theater Board wanted to find a way to help. In collaboration with Bolen Vineyards the board organized the benefit concert to raise funds for Love Levelland, an organization dedicated to providing financial assistance and resources to those in need.
The success of the event was made possible by Happy State Bank’s matching donation of $3,000. Bolen Vineyards generously contributed a portion of their sales and the Wallace contributed proceeds from ticket sales, concessions, and additional donations totaling $4,300. These funds will help Love Levelland meet the needs of local families impacted by the recent storms, assisting with home repairs, food, and other essential needs.
“One of the primary goals of Love Levelland is to provide direct assistance to those in our community who need it most. The contributions from The Wallace Theatre, Happy State Bank, and Bolen Vineyards will significantly aid our recovery efforts in the wake of recent devastation, and we are deeply grateful for their generosity,” said Dallas Pena, President of Love Levelland.
“Happy State Bank was grateful for the opportunity to help those impacted by the recent storms in Levelland. As a customer and community focused bank, we are committed to reaching out and helping as we deliver on our core values” stated Trey Saldana, Chief Lending Officer, Lubbock South Plains Division and Wallace Theater Board Member.
The Jenni Dale Lord Band delivered a memorable performance, creating an atmosphere of celebration and community spirit. Attendees enjoyed an evening of live music, lawn games, and camaraderie, all while contributing to a worthy cause.
“We are thrilled with the outpouring of support from our community,” said Tania Moody, President of the Wallace Theater Board. “The Love Levelland Benefit Concert not only showcased incredible musical talent but also demonstrated the power of unity in times of adversity. Every dollar raised will make a meaningful difference in helping our neighbors recover and rebuild.”
The Wallace Theater reached out to its supporters state and nationwide. The Wallace has become a beloved institution to many people outside of Hockley County and has connections to many supporters who grew up in Levelland. Over 70% of the funds raised for the event were donated from outside of Levelland.
“We are grateful to everyone who attended, volunteered, and contributed to this event,” added Alycyn Keeling, Executive Director of the Wallace. “Your support ensures that our community can continue to rebuild and Love Levelland can continue its crucial work, providing assistance where it is most needed. We appreciate all of the love that was given to Levelland for this event.”
