The City of Levelland MainStreet program is hosting their fifth annual Sip & Swirl event in downtown Levelland, June 9, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
MainStreet Director Tania Moody explained that the group tries to make every a little different from the last and this year’s event is themed, ‘Around the World.’
Community members within the surrounding area are invited to attend the event; however, there are only 400 tickets available. Tickets can be purchased online at downtownlevelland.com or can call (806) 894-9079.
All ticket purchases include 10 spirit tastings, 10 food pairing ounces from cultures around the world plus a commemorative tasting glass and tote.
The event includes a fine sampling of local wine, craft beer, bourbon, tequila and more. A few pairing suggestions include: food truck hopping and shoping at local favorite downtown boutiques.
Ticket holders with general admission tickets will register at the Brasch-Mitchell building similar to recent years. VIP ticket holders will register at Studebakers and pickup their ‘swag bag’.
This year, individuals can select a traditional wine glass in addition to a short glass for people who prefer to drink other beverages including wine. Checkin for VIP guest will begin at 6 p.m. and the VIP lounge will be open from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
At registration, individuals will receive a wristband that has 10 win glasses on them which represents 10 one ounce tastings which also includes bites with each tasting.
