Going through several seasons in a day is nothing different for us Texans, but these random winter storms feel like a curve ball from Mother Nature to say the least.
With freezing temperatures, windy conditions and snowfall, I hope everyone was able to stay warm and safe throughout the brief tundra-like weather we experienced.
It’s been a long 24 hours for our first responders, city workers and TXDOT workers and I would like to extend a thank you for braving the conditions.
There are a lot of people who appreciate your hard work day in and day out.
For the citizens of Hockley County, continue to stay warm, and stay safe.
Please be cognizant of animals that do not belong in the frozen conditions.
At this point, I’m not sure what season we are in, but I am ready for warm weather.
When that time comes and it hits triple digits, you’ll read about me wishing it was freezing cold and how I need an igloo.
It’s a back and forth relationship with mother nature, but I think we all have that desire for warmer weather at this point.
Now that the storm has passed and we will probably hit 70 degrees by the end of the week, continue to stay safe and warm.
