ANOTHER DAY WITH DOM!

The Labor Day holiday has come and gone and I hope everyone was able to enjoy their weekend and be well rested.

With college football in fullswing this past weekend I had a field day with my eyes glued to the TV. I enjoy college football more than the NFL, so I was rather excited to see all the games that were spread out through the holiday weekend.

My little one and I spent Saturday glued to the couch watching games with a handful of my friends and it simply felt relaxing. We have been busy of late with one thing or another, so it felt good to not work through the weekend.

I feel that a lot of us can get wrapped up in the business of everyday life and it’s always good to have some relaxation time with ones self or with family and friends where we don’t have to worry about things such as work, meetings, jobs, etc.

My little one loves playing at the park and being active since he’s a ticking time bomb of energy, so we spent most of Sunday at the Levelland City Park enjoying the playgrounds and open space to run around.

I really want to thank the City of Levelland Parks Department and Dustin Reichelt for their hard work taking care of the parks around Levelland and making them enjoyable areas to spend time at. My family came with my son and I to the park and we laid out on the green grass and enjoyed our time out there.

I think some people still hold the idea that our parks are not great or well taken care of but that is not the case. Driving around the various parks within Levelland, I have seen more and more people spend time fishing at the Lakes or spend time with family and friends at all the parks.

The City Park has really been well taken care of with a lot of the area having great playgrounds, walking paths, sitting areas and great grass areas.

During the evening time, a large number of people were spending their time utilizing the walking paths or enjoying their time under the pavilions or playgrounds. When we arrived, we drove past a birthday party that was being held at one of the pavilions and there was such a large number of kids and adults that I couldn’t help but smile. The smell of the grill might have helped that as well.

We are still in the warmer days and I hope people continue to enjoy the parks and other areas that are available to the community.
