I feel like any person who gets their holiday shopping done well before crunch time is considered the responsible one.
We’re less than a week away and I’ll be battling with the best of the procrastinators at the stores trying to wrap up late Christmas shopping this season.
I think it’s hard to shop for people this day in age. The options for gifts are limitless.
I guess it depends on the person and what you know about said person.
If I’m shopping for my mom or someone who I want to put thought and effort into deciding the gift, that’s when it gets difficult.
However, there are those gifts where you think in your head, “They’re lucky remembered them, let alone knowing the things they like.”
I’ve mentioned before how much my brothers that live with me stress me out.
Those two can expect tube socks and batteries in their stockings.
That might sound mean, but if they aren’t working, they’re in their caves like troll monsters playing video games until sunrise.
It doesn’t sound like much, but when those batteries die, I’ll be their savior.
Plus, my brother would wear socks that expose the entire bottom of his foot, but say they are good because the long part still covers his ankles.
I encourage anyone who is doing last minute gift searching to try their hand with their local businesses.
Amazon and online shopping are the quick option, but a wonderful way to spread some holiday cheer is to support those businesses and see if they can get you taken care of with your holiday shopping needs.
Talking with various store owners, I know they would take the time to get any customer situated and happy with their experience.
Times remain tough and everyone is still feeling the effects economically.
We can help each other but supporting one another locally and help everyone have a successful holiday season.
Additionally, I know there are a few individuals who can only do last minute shopping because of the hard times they are facing.
I know a few individuals that are in that position, but they are determined to give their children the holiday experience.
Kudos to those parents who grind to give their children those memories they won’t forget.
