...Best protector ever...

Hi, my name is Wooly. I was born on Serenity Mountain to my mom and dad one warm summer morning. Life on the mountain was great! There was an incredible view of the valley below, peaceful streams, and lush green grass. Watching the sunrise each morning was my favorite thing to do. I had a wonderful family and friends and the best Shepherd of all.

As I grew, my friends and I would explore the range; sometimes, we would find ourselves too far from the fold. Before we knew it, we would be encompassed by darkness, and fear would settle in. How would we find ourselves back home in the dark? But it never failed, just when I would start to worry, here comes my Shepherd over the hilltop, and immediately, the panicked feeling of being lost and afraid would subside.

A few years ago, my parents died. I suffered terrible grief and thought I would never have joy again. But my Shepherd kept me close by His side. His presence comforted me. As the days and weeks passed, I slowly felt the heaviness of my loss subside and I was able to enjoy the mountaintop again.

Then one night, I was grazing in a nearby pasture when suddenly a wolf began to creep in on me. He snarled and snickered and growled exposing his sharp and fierce rugged teeth. I thought this would be the attack of my demise. I slowly backed up as he inched closer to me in intimidation when suddenly, WHAM! The strong staff of my Shepherd-Protector struck the wolf and sent him rolling down the hillside with one blow. He lifted me in His arms and carried me to safety.

No matter what comes my way, I never have to worry or fear because I know my Good Shepherd is always near, guiding, comforting, and protecting me. I am happy to have such a wonderful Shepherd – He is the best Protector ever!

John 10:14 (NIRV) I am the Good Shepherd. I know My sheep, and My sheep know Me.

Psalm 23:1-4 (NLT) The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows; He leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to His name. Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for You are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me
