The Levelland Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for the board of directors. Nominations are due by Aug. 31.
Serving as a board member is a great opportunity to become more involved in the local business community, provide leadership, and help guide the work and future direction of the Chamber.
Board members serve a three-year term and meet each first Wednesday of the month at noon.
The board governs the organization’s policies, guides its economic mission and long-term goals for Levelland and Hockley County, and oversees overall strategic and financial direction. Additionally, it ensures adherence to bylaws and legal policies, reviews and approves annual budgets and evaluates the leadership and performance of the chamber president Any individual Chamber member, employee, partner, associate, or owner of a Chamber member business or organization may be nominated to serve.
Members may nominate themselves or another eligible individual. Depending on number of candidates and number of open seats will determine need for election.
Nominations may be submitted to the Levelland Chamber of Commerce by Aug. 31.
