The Hockley County Commissioners Court will be meeting Monday at 9 a.m. in the Hockley County Courthouse to discuss several agenda items.
The court will begin the meeting reading and approving the minutes of the last regularly scheduled meeting which was held Monday, September 26. After approving the minutes, the board will move on to approving the monthly bills and claims submitted to the court that have been dated through October 3. The court will hear the monthly Public Assistance report.
The consideration and approval of the 2023 Hockley County Resolution Indigent Defense Grant will be considered.
A review of the Certificate of Compliance from the Texas Commission on Jail Standards concerning the jail inspection conducted on September 8 will be considered.
The court will review and take necessary action to approve a tax deed for lot 10, lot 11 and lot 12, block seven for the original town of Whitharral, Hockley County. David Escobar has offered a bid to purchase the property for the amount of $2,000.
The court will wrap up the regular meeting with an executive session during which they will meet with their attorney.
