The Hockley County Commissioners Court will hold a regular meeting September 26 at 9 a.m. in the Commissioners’ Courtroom at the Hockley County Courthouse in Levelland. The court will discuss and take necessary action on several agenda items. The court will read and approve the minutes of the last regular meeting held on Monday, September 19. The Commissioners Court will discuss and potentially approve all monthly bills and claims submitted to the court and dated through September 26. The court will hear an update from Adam Walker, who is with Perdue Brandon Fielder Colling & Mott LLP on collections for the county. The court will consider and take necessary action to improve the Texas Department of Agriculture, Texans Feeding Texas: Home-Delivered Meal Grant Program. The action will include the authorizing of the county grant for the 2023 year in the amount of $937.50 to Hockley County Senior Citizen Association Code. Additionally, the court will discuss and take the necessary action to approve and fund the instillation of eight Mosaic handrails around the courthouse pursuant of Section 381.004 of the Texas Local Government Code. The Commissioners Court will discuss and take potential action concerning the use of ARPA funds to pay to Kofile for the preservation of old criminal records kept in the County Clerk’s Office.
The court will also discuss and take potential action to approve the payment from the Hockle County Clerk’s Records Archive Fund for preservation of birth records and Commissioners Court Records.
The regular meeting will end with the court considering and taking necessary action to approve a road crossing for Texland Petroleum LP on Filly Road in Precinct 1.
