The Hockley County Commissioners Court will be holding a regular meeting Monday, May 6, beginning at 9 a.m. in the Hockley County Courthouse.
Agenda items are as follows: - Read for approval the minutes of the special meeting held April 22; - Read for approval all monthly bills and claims submitted to the court and dated through May 6; - Hear the monthly Public Assistance report; - Discussion and potential action concerning the five applications submitted by the Levelland Mainstreet Program requesting use of the courthouse lawn for the following events on the date specified: Run the Mosaics IM, 2M and 10K Race - June 8, 2024 Trunk or Treat - October 31, 2024 Ladies Night Out- November 14, 2024 Festival of Lights - Christmas on the Square - December 5, 2024 - Consider and take necessary action to approve the Hockley County Treasurer’s 2024 1st Quarter Financial Report.
- Discussion and potential action to consider removal of Local Family Outreach from the Jury Service Donation Option due to dissolution of Levelland Community Outreach Center a/k/ a Local Family Outreach; - Discussion and potential action to consider disbursement of remaining funds in the amount of $1,690.33 from Jury Service Donations to Levelland Community Outreach Center aka Local Family Outreach; - Discussion and potential action to consider adding Hockley County Senior Citizens and Hockley County Veteran’s Breakfast as an option to the Jury Service Donation Recipients; - Discussion and potential action to consider an increase to Jury Pay for those serving as actual jurors from $58 per day to $60 per day; - Discussion and potential action concerning the regulation of motor vehicles on the courthouse lawn.
