Competiton concludes at Hockley County Stock Show

After three days of competition and multiple shows at the Hockley County Stock Show, multiple grand and reserve grand champions were named.

Beginning the stock show Tuesday was the Rabbit Show.

Grand Champion Doe was awarded to Kamrun Gillit of Smyer and Reserve Champion Buck was awarded to Lily Young.

Champion Fancy Buck was awarded to Lily Young while Reserve Champion Fancy Buck was awarded to Sadi Young of Ropes.

Warpping up the action Tuesday was the Goat Show followed by the Lamb Show.

Showing the Grand Champion Goat was Radley Pardington from Ropes. Earning Reserve Grand Champion was Braxxin Pardington of Ropes.

The Senior Showmanship award was awarded to Pardington and the Junior Showmanship Award was given to Charley King showing out of Levelland.

The Lamb Show overall Grand Championn was shown by Tristan Neal of Smyer and overall Reserve Grand Champion was Trace De Armond, a 4-H Club member.

The Champion Southdown Lamb was shown by Charlie King of Levelland and the Reserve Champion Southdown was exhibited by Brayden Spies of Whitharral 4-H.

The Champion Dorper Lamb was shown by Tristan Neal of Smyer and the Reserve Champion Dorper Lamb was shown by Ky De Armond of 4-H The Champion of the Medium Wool Lamb was shown by Tristan Neal of Smyer and the Reserve Champion of the Medium Wool Lamb was shown Bryar Sherrill of 4-H.

The Senior Showmanship award was given to Bryar Sherrill and the Junior Showmanship was earned by Trace De Armond.

For the Ag Mechanics Show, Avery McCain and Tyler Parkinson were the Metal Champions and Overall Grand Champions out of Whitharral.

The Reserve Champion Metal Award was won by Drew Overstreet out of Smyer.

The Champion of the Wood group was Madison Chavez and Elizabeth Reyna and they also earned the overall Reserve Grand Champion Award. They are out of Whitharral.

The Reserve Champion for Wood was awarded to Hadley Bates of Whitharral.

For the Heifer Show, Tucker Parkinson earned the overall Grand Champion Award and Kynlee Thomas was awarded overall Reserve Champion Heifer.

Kynlee Thomas earned the Junior Showmanship Award and Copper Popelka earned the Senior Showmanship Award.

Stratton Shertz was awarded Champion American Heifer.

Copper Popelka was awarded Champion British Heifer and Kynlee Thomas was awarded Reserve Champion British Heifer.

Tucker Parkinson was awarded Champion Exotic Heifer and Kynlee Thomas was awarded Reserve Champion Exotic Heifer.

For the Steer Show, Stratton Scherty was awarded overall Reserve Champion Steer and Braxie Albus was awarded overall Champion Steer.

Braxie Albus was awarded Champion Crossbred Steer and Stratton Scherty was awarded Reserve Champion Crossbred Steer.

Senior Showmanship was awarded to Kanon Buckner and Junior Showmanship was awarded to Kynlee Thomas.

Braxie Albus was awarded Champion American Steer and Riley Martin received Reserve Champion American Steer.

Copper Popelka was awarded Champion British Steer and Tyler Gilliam was awarded Reserve Champion British Steer.

For the Hog Show, Tristan Wisdom was awarded the overall Champion Hog and overall Reserve Champion Hog.

Ryder Stracener was awarded Junior Showmanship and Mark Buxkemper was awarded Senior Showmanship.

Garret Gilliam was awarded Champion Berkshire Hog and Heather McNabb was awarded Reserve Champion Berkshire Hog.

Paige Smith was awarded Champion Chester White Hog and Kayden Gillit was awarded Champion Chester White Hog.

Tristan Wisdom was awarded Champion Crossbred Hog and Jayton Madewell was awarded Reserve Champion Hog.

Ryder Stracener was awarded Champion Duroc Hog and Mattie Buxkemper was awarded Reserve Champion Duroc Hog.

Tristan Wisdom was awarded Champion Hampshire Hog and Bryar Sherrill was awarded Reserve Champion Hog.

Kayden Gillit was awarded Champion Poland Hog and Skyler Pond was awarded Reserve Champion Poland Hog.

Riggin Pearson was awarded Champion Spot Hog and Jaelyn Vonberg was awarded Reserve Champion Spot Hog.
