Crystal M. Forster announces Hockley County Tax Assessor, Collector Candidacy

Crystal M. Forster has formally announce her candidacy for the Hockley County Tax Assessor Collector Position.

With 17 years of actual tax office experience, she is currently a Senior Clerk in the Lubbock County Tax Office. In that office she is responsible for renewing car tags, completing title transfers, permits, issue handicap placards to just name a few of herjob duties.

She will be employed by the Lubbock office 12 years in March. Previously, she worked in the tax office in San Angelo for over 5 years before moving to Lubbock. She also has previous background experience in banking. Forster was a lead teller and maintained the branch vault at the bank she worked at in San Angelo.

She became a Hockley County resident in 2017 when she married her husband Anthony Forster. He is currently employed by Forster Construction a family owned and operated business. She is a mother of three boys and five grandchildren. Her youngest son Preston Moore is currently a senior this year in Smyer and will graduate in May. He has already been accepted to Texas Tech.

“If the voters of Hockley County choose to elect me there are several things I would like to accomplish in my office,” said Forster. “Customer service will be the foundation of my office. You are our customers. We are here to serve and assist the public with their tax office needs.”

She also wants all of my staff to be very well educated in all aspects of the office.

“I truly believe a well trained knowledgeable staff is a necessity. If a problem shall ever arise that needs to be addressed please feel free to contact me,” added Forster. “I will do my best to accommodate you to the best of my abilities. I would appreciate your vote and would love to serve as your next Tax Assessor-Collector.”

Primary early voting began February 20 and runs through March 1st. The last day to vote is March 5th.
