DEMOLITION DAY–David Garrett with L&L Construction of Levelland, were tearing down the original Long John Silvers building, located at 506 Clubview Drive, Wednesday morning. The sea food restaurant was constructed shortly after Long John Silvers Company purchased the land from Farmore, Inc. in November of 1980. Long John Silvers closed its business in 2014. Since that time the building was leased and opened as Charlies Restaurant that did not sustain. The building has been vacant for approximately seven years. The property has been purchased by Russell Vest of the Hockley County School Employee Credit Union. Pictured are: Roger Lindsey, Steven Salazar and David Garret operating the skid steer.
