According to the Department of Public Safety (DPS), a Monday night rollover in Dickens County resulted in the death of one individual.
The DPS report states Christina Ann Pecina, 42, of Spur was traveling north on Highway 70, two miles south of Dickens around 9 p.m.
Pecina was driving a 2010 Nissan Altima when she traveled onto a grass area to the east of the roadway. After returning to the main traveled portion of the highway, the vehicle overcorrected resulting in the loss of control and rolled over before coming to a final rest.
Pecina was pronounced deceased on the scene due to injuries sustained during the crash. The report also states that a seatbelt was not worn during the incident.
