The fire department responded to the 1800 area of Maize road regarding a fire alarm. Upon arrival, fire personnel were advised it was a false fire alarm.
3/29/2023 – DISPATCH 10:10 PM – CLEARED 10:23 PM – HOCKLEYCOUNTY
The fire department was dispatched to the area of Cactus Drive and North Cedar avenue regarding an odor. Upon arrival, fire personnel were unable to locate anything in the area.
3/29/2023 – DISPATCH 6:19 AM – CLEARED 7:00 AM – HOCKLEYCOUNTY
Fire personnel was contacted by the police department stating there was a grass fire at East State Highway 114 and South FM 2646. After an investigation, fire personnel found a grass fire across from the Ethanol Plant. Fire personnel extinguished the grass fire.
3/27/2023 – DISPATCH 4:59 PM – CLEARED 5:10 PM – LEVELLAND
The fire department received reports of smoke coming from the 200 block of Austin street. Upon arrival, fire personnel found a resident burning wood in a barbeque pit. Fire personnel deemed everything to be clear and returned to the station.
