The Hockley County Commissioners’ Court will be holding a regular meeting followed by a budget meeting on Monday, June 24.
The regular meeting will begin at 9 a.m. in the Hockley County Courthouse. Agenda items include: Read for approval the minutes of the following meeting held on June 17; Read for approval all monthly bills and claims submitted to the court and dated through June 24; Discussion and potential action to approve extending the Disaster Declaration Renewal dated June 4 until July 31 at 11:59 p.m.; Consider and take necessary action concerning tabled item seven from an agenda dated June 17, regarding the two applications submitted by the Levelland Chamber of Commerce requesting use of the courthouse lawn for the following events on the date specified: - Home Sweet HoCo - August 24, 2024 - Cotton and Crude Concert September 7, 2024; Discussion and potential action concerning the application submitted by the Levelland Main Street Program requesting use of the courthouse lawn on July 7 for the Weather Event Volunteer Appreciation Celebration; and Consider and take necessary action to approve the monthly reports due as per 114.044 Local Government Code as submitted by the Hockley County District Clerk, Hockley County Clerk, Hockley County Auditor and Justice of the Peace Precincts 1, 2, 4 and 5.
A budget meeting will follow the regular meeting and will begin at 9:30 a.m. The agenda will comprise a budget workshop as a sole agenda item.
