The Hockley County Food Box and South Plains Community Action are working tirelessly to keep individuals within the community fed and are accepting donations.
Working to keep families and individuals fed, the food box is accepting donations such as canned vegetables, canned meat, canned fruit, dry goods and nonperishable food items.
Donations can be made at 410 Houston Street and if more information is needed call 806894-6104.
Additionally, monetary donations can be made which will help the food box bring in more items as staying fully stocked can become a tall order.
Individuals wanting to volunteer their time are encouraged as staying open and operating for a bulk of the day is the goal of the food box.
