Hockley County sets regular meetings Mon.

The Hockley County Commissioners office will be holding a regular meeting followed by a budget workshop Monday, July 8 beginning at 9 a.m. in the Hockley County Courthouse.

Agenda items set for the first meeting are: Read for approval the minutes for the regular meeting held at 9 a.m. on Monday, June 24, and the regular meeting held at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, June 24; Read for approval all monthly bills and claims submitted to the Court dated through July 8; Hear the monthly Public Assistance report; Consider and take necessary action to approve the agreement with McCasland Dental to include indigent healthcare clients for dental services; Consider and take necessary action to approve donations to Hockley County Memorial Library from Swackhammers Texas Grill in the amount of $100 and State Farm Insurance in the amount of $50; Review the March, April, May and June 2024 fire runs as submitted by the City of Levelland; Discussion and potential action to nominate an individual to fill a vacancy on the Hockley County Appraisal District Board; Consider and take necessary action to approve the 2025 Contract and Agreement concerning ambulance service between the City of Littlefield and Hockley County; Discussion and potential action concerning the application submitted by the Levelland Wallace Theater requesting use of the courthouse lawn on July 31 and August 1 for the Cowboy Arts Camp from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. each day; Consider and take necessary action to approve the Official Bond and Oath of Debra C. Bramlett, Hockley County Tax Assessor-Collector; and Consider and take necessary action to approve Ad Valorem tax refunds.
