The Hockley County Commissioners Court will be holding a special meeting Monday, May 13, beginning at 9 p.m. in the Hockley County Courthouse.
Agenda items slated for the meeting are as follows: Read for approval the minutes of the regular meeting held at May 6; Read for approval all monthly bills and claims submitted to the court and dated through May 13; Consider and take necessary to approve the following agreements between Hockley County and CTSI: Rescue Data Backup Continuity Disaster Recovery (BCDR) Service, Master Service Agreement and Assurance with Cyber Defense; Consider and take necessary action to approve the final draft for the mural for the parking lot project; Consider and take necessary action to approve the cost for the mural for the parking lot project to be paid out of Unclaimed Capital Credits; Consider and take necessary action to approve a Tax Deed for Lot Nine (9), in Block Sixty-one (61), to the Original Town of Levelland, Hockley County, Texas (R10222), to be purchased by Guy Ross Tippy for the amount of $800; Discussion and potential action concerning the request of Angela Overman, Hockley County District Attorney to approve an Agreement for Assistance in Prosecution in the sum of $560,000 to be paid to Matt Powell and Tray Payne, Attorneys at Law to prosecute Cause No. 21-09-10115, styled The State of Texas vs. Omar Soto-Chavira, a case pending in the 286th Judicial District Court of Hockley County.
