Hockley County Sheriff’s Report

INCIDENTSUMMARY 7/31/2023 - HOCKLEY COUNTY - 7:12 A.M.

Deputies were dispatched to the 6900 block of Elk Road in reference to an on-going disturbance between a father and son. Deputies arrived on scene and completed an investigation.

7/30/2023 - HOCKLEY COUNTY - 8:39 P.M.

Deputies were dispatched to the area of Owl Road and Alligator Road in reference to a suspicious vehicle. The vehicle was located in the roadway near Bear Road and Quail Road. The driver was arrested for DUI minor.

7/30/2023 - ROPESVILLE - 6:58 P.M.

Deputies were dispatched tot the 900 block of Ellington Street in Ropesville in reference toa possible on-going disturbance. A report was made for aggravated assault of a date, family or house with a weapon, interfering with duties of a public servant and resisting arrest, search or transportation.

7/29/2023 - ANTON - 7:11 P.M.

A deputy with the Hockley County Sheriff’s Department was dispatched to the 400 block of Main Street in Anton in reference to a disturbance. A report was made for criminal mischief. The suspect had fled the residence prior to the deputies arrival. A report for criminal mischief between $750 and $2,500 was made.

7/29/2023 - HOCKLEY COUNTY - 11:39 A.M.

Deputies responded to the 6300 block of U.S. Highway 114 in reference to a burglary that had already occurred. A report for burglary of a habitation and theft of a firearm less than $400 was made.

7/27/2023 - LEVELLAND - 9:23 A.M.

Deputies with the Hockley County Sheriff’s Office were informed of an incident that was on-going in the Hockley County Jail. Jail staff requested back-up units to help assist with an inmate issue.

7/25/2023 – HOCKLEY COUNTY - 6:29 P.M.

The Hockley County Sheriff’s Office received a report of indecency of a child near N. U.S. 385.

7/24/2023 - LEVELLAND - 11:25 A.M.

Deputies with the Hockley County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 100 block of Grant Street in reference to a theft that had already occurred. A report for theft of property between $500 and $1,500 had been made.

7/22/2023 - SUNDOWN - 8:13 P.M.

Dispatched advised the Hockley County Sheriff’s Office a caller requested deputy assistance at a residence located in the 300 block of W. 4th Street in Sundown. Dispatch advised that the caller reported an on-going disturbance between parties and reported the disturbance became physical. Upon arrival, deputies identified the aggressor of the incidents was placed under arrest for assault, family violence and was transported to the Hockley County Jail.

George Andrew Jefferson, 45, of Slaton, was arrested by the HCSO, July 31, for the offense of driving while license is invalid.

Alfred Charles Reed, 64, of Brownfield, was arrested by the HCSO, July 31.

Antonio R. Valdez, 66, of Levelland was arrested by the LPD, July 31, for the offense of driving while intoxicated, second.

Andy Ruperto Rodriguez, 31, of Levelland, was arrested by the LPD, July 30.

Nicholas John Salas, 19, of Ropesville, was arrested by the HCSO, July 30, for the offense of aggravated assault of a date, family or house with a weapon.

Ryan Slater Aragon, 27, of Levelland, was arrested by the LPD, July 30, for the offense of harassment of a public servant.

Cameron James Garner, 19, of Smyer, was arrested by the HCSO, July 30, for the offense of liquor violation, class C.

Rebecca Salaz of Ropesville, 49, was arrested by the HCSO, July 30, for the offense of resisting arrest, search or transport and interfering with duties of a public servant.

Veronica Gabriella Martinez, 31, of Levelland, was arrested by the HCSO, July 28, for the offense of tampering with government record to defraud or harm.

Tiffany Enez Zapata, 34, of Lamesa, was arrested by the LPD, July 27, for the offense of possession of marijuana between one and four grams.

David Tienda, 45, of Levelland, was arrested by the LPD, July 27, for the offense of possessing a controlled substance, penalty group one, one-1B, less than one gram.

Josiah Steven St. Clair, 20, of Abernathy, was arrested by the HCSO, July 27, for the offense of prohibited sexual conduct.

Joe Manuel Renteria, 34, of Lamesa, was arrested by the LPD, July 27, for the offenses of possession of a controlled substance, penalty group one, less than one gram, drug free zone, aggravated robbery, failure to ID a fugitive with the intent to give false information, resist search or transport and possession of marijuana less than two ounces.

Christopher Sanchez, 46, of Levelland, was arrested by the LPD, July 26, for the offense of manufacturing, delivery of a controlled substance, penalty group one, between one and four grams, possession of a controlled substance, penalty group one, less than one gram, possession of a dangerous drug and possession of marijuana less than two ounces.

Domingo Arguellez Jr., 43, of Levelland, was arrested by the LPD, July 26, for the offense of resisting arrest, search or transport.

Eric Brandon Evans, 37, of Levelland, was arrested by the LPD, July 26, for the offenses of burglary of a habitation and assault of a public servant.
