The 286th Judicial District Attorney’s Office announced that a Hockley County Grand Jury convened Nov. 13 and returned 9 indictments after considering cases against 11 people.
Brandon Ulloa, 22, was charged with aggravated assault of date, family, household member with a weapon, serious bodily injury, attempted murder.
A first count stated on or about Oct. 4, Ulloa intentionally threatened imminent bodily injury by pointing a firearm at an individual.
A second count stated on or about Oct. 4, Ulloa, with the intent to commit the offense of murder of an individual, pointed a gun at the complainant’s head and pulled the trigger, which amounted to more than mere preparation that tended but failed to affect the commission of the intended offense.
Enhancements on the indictment listed one previous conviction.
On or about June 7, 2021, Ulloa was convicted of the felony offense of burglary of a habitation in the 286th Judicial District Court of Hockley County.
Esidro Ramirez, 20, was charged with possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1, less than one gram.
On or about June 19, Ramirez intentionally possessed less than one gram of a controlled substance, namely fentanyl.
John Brandon Donahue, 47, was charged with driving while intoxicated with a child under 15 years old. A $5,000 bond was issued.
On or about July 18, Donahue used a motor vehicle in a public place while intoxicated. A person younger than 15 years old was in the vehicle.
Kristen Leanne Gilliam, 36, was charged with possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1/1-b, less than one gram. A $2,500 bond was issued.
On or about April 23, Gilliam intentionally possessed less than one gram of a controlled substance, namely methamphetamine.
Veronica Tienda, 45, was charged with possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1/1-b, greater than or equal to one gram but less than four grams.
On or about May 13, Tienda intentionally possessed more than one gram and less than four grams of a controlled substance, namely methamphetamine.
Zachary Kenneth Leggett, 44, was charged with possession of a controlled substance penalty group 2, greater than or equal to four grams but less than 400 grams.
On or about July 10, Leggett intentionally possessed more than four grams and less than 400 grams of a controlled substance, namely tetrahydrocannabinol.
Felipe Ornelas, 27, was charged with possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1, less than one gram. A $2,500 bond was issued.
On or about Aug. 18, 2023, Ornelas intentionally possessed less than one gram of a controlled substance, namely methamphetamine.
Marissa Shantel Gonzales, 26, was charged with possession of a controlled substance penalty group 2, greater than or equal to one gram but less than four grams. A $5,000 bond was issued.
On or about July 6, Gonzales intentionally possessed one gram or more but less than four grams of a controlled substance, namely delta-9, tetrahydrocannabinol.
Rephel Cortez Smith, 34, was charged with possession of a controlled substance penalty group 2, greater than or equal to one gram but less than four grams. A $5,000 bond was issued.
On or about July 6, Smith intentionally possessed one gram or more but less than four grams of a controlled substance, namely delta-9, tetrahydrocannabinol.
