And the Lord said to Moses, “Rise early in the morning and stand before Pharaoh as he comes out to the water. Then say to him, “Thus says the Lord: “Let My people go that they may serve ME. Or else, if you will not let My people go, behold, I will send swarms of flies on you and your servants, on your people and into your houses. The houses of the Egyptians shall be full of swarming flies, and also on the ground on which you stand. And in that day, I will set apart the land of Goshen, in which My people dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there, in order that you may know that I am the Lord n the midst of the land. I will make a difference between My people and your people. “” Exodus 8:20-23

God will set His people apart and protect them from the judgement of the wicked. In Exodus, Pharaoh oppressed and enslaved the people of Israel and tried to restrict their worship of the one true God and God in His infinite mercy gave him time to repent and to set the Israelites free. Like many of the politicians and rulers around our world today, Pharaoh thought he was above God and the false gods he served was mightier than our God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. God told Moses at the burning bush, “I have surely seen the oppression of My people and I have heard their cry, because of their sorrows. So, I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up to a land flowing with milk and honey.” Exodus 3:7-8. I love the fact that God came down! God talked to Pharaoh through Moses and performed many signs, wonders and executed judgment on the evil ruler that had enslaved God’s people. Beginning with the fourth plague and all the plagues that came after the flies, God set His people apart in the land of Goshen so none of the judgements of God affected them. God avenging His people is not just a one-time thing, over and over God delivered His people in the Bible and throughout history. Romans 12”19 “Vengeance is mine, I will repay,” says the Lord,” David saw the salvation of the Lord when Saul continually pursued and tried to kill him. In Psalm 18:6-17 “In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried out to my God; he heard my voice from His temple and my cry came before Him, even to His ears. Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations of the hills also quaked and were shaken, because He was angry. Smoke went up from His nostrils and devouring fire from His mouth; coals were kindled by it. He bowed the heavens also and came down with darkness under His feet and He rode upon the wings of the wind. And He rode upon a cherub, and flew; He flew upon the wings of the wind. He made darkness His secret place; His canopy was dark waters and thick clouds of the skies. From the brightness before Him, His thick clouds passed with hailstones and coals of fire. The Lord thundered from heaven and the Most High uttered His voice, hailstones and coals of fire. He sent out His arrows and scattered the foe, lightnings in abundance, and He vanquished them. Then the channels of the sea were seen, the foundations of the world uncovered at your rebuke, O Lord, at the blast of the breath of your nostrils. E sent from above, He took me; He drew me out of many waters. He delivered me from the strong hand of my enemy, from those who hated me, for they were too strong for me.” God hears the cries of His people and He has come down to earth and is fighting for us. Too many people are discouraged because they cannot “see” any progress and the working of God’s hands. David clearly stated that God works in darkness. The darker things seem, rest assured the God is working behind the scenes and we may not get to see the results immediately. David shared the secret of thriving even in dark times in the beginning of Psalm 18:1 “I will love You, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust.” Trust is a choice, it is a firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability and strength of someone. If you want to thrive and come out of this challenging time victorious, you must determine to trust God no matter what you see or hear. When I feel my confidence in God starting to falter, I think about all the times God has been faithful and the many prayers He has answered in my life. Remember Psalm 91:1-2 “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God in Him will I trust.” Paul wrote in Ephesians 6:13 “Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” God told the Israelites in 1 Samuel 12:16 “Now therefore, stand and see the great things the Lord will do before your eyes.” We can stand when we put our trust in God, knowing He is fighting for us. It is imperative that we have discernment in this season. 2 Thessalonians 2:9 warns “The coming of the lawless one is according to the works of Satan, with all power, signs and lying wonders.” Satan cannot create, so he imitates what God does. Remember when Moses went to tell Pharaoh to let the Israelites God and the signs and wonders God gave Moses to show His power through, the sorcerers in Pharaoh’s court copied the signs until Aaron’s serpent swallowed the serpents of the sorcerers. One of the most dangerous things in an animal that is backed into a corner that does not have a way out, they will attack, kill, or do whatever it takes to get out. The World Economic Leaders thought they would have control of the world with the Covid virus and when people stood and refused to give into their outlandish demands, like social distancing, staying home and keeping children out of school, shutting down churches while liquor stress remained open, masking up , getting a mandatory vaccine, they realized they do not have the control they thought they had and they will try to cause great destruction to create fear and to get their way. The government of the United States of America has invested millions of dollars in the study of geoengineering that allows science to alter the weather to deflect some of the suns rays and to seed the clouds to modify and control the precipitation that falls in any given area. The researchers at University of Central Florida and the University of Arizona state “a laser beam could activate those large amounts of static electricity and create storms on demand.” I am sure our government is not the only government capable of using these technologies. Several of the pictures I have seen from the Hurricane in Florida last year and the Maui wildfires appear to have a laser light pictured above the storm clouds. Another type of laser technology the United States is researching and putting money into is the Directed Energy Weapons. Do your own research and ask the Lord for discernment about the season we are in. James 3:17 encourages believers to “seek the wisdom that comes from heaven.” The time we spend in the Bible and in prayer will help develop discernment in the life of the believer. The enemy would enjoy causing chaos and making people think that the source of the chaos and destruction is God. Satan is also trying to change the times and seasons according to Daniel, to out maneuver God and to have complete control of our world. Jesus told the disciples in Matthew 10:16 “Behold, I am sending you out as sheep midst wolves, Therefore, be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.” I am not sharing this to create fear or hopelessness, I want you to be aware of wiles of the enemy. David understood the faithfulness of God, Psalm 18:28-36 “For you will light my amp; the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness. For by You, I can run against a troop, by my God, I can leap over a wall. As for my God, His way is perfect, the word of the Lord is proven, He is a shield for all who trust in Him. For who is God, except the Lord? And who is a rock except our God? It is God who arms me with strength, and makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like the feet of deer, and sets me on high places. He teaches my hands to make war so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze. You have given me the shield of Your salvation, Your right hand has held me up, Your gentleness has made me great. You enlarged my path under me so my feet did not slip.” Because David knew his God and what His power could do, it enabled David to overtake his enemies. “I have pursued my enemies and overtaken them; neither did I turn back again until they were destroyed. I have wounded them so that they could not rise again. They have fallen under my feet.” Psalm 18:37-38. The relationship and trust you have in God will enable you to fight the battle against the “principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” Stand firm and fight in prayer with the word of God and making declarations and decrees that bring the will of God down to earth. Be at peace and do not fear the coming judgement of God, God will make a difference between the world and His children. He will protect and provide for His children!
