Keep Levelland Beautiful will be sponsoring a 2024 Take Care of Texas Art Contest.
This years contest theme is recycling.
Keep Levelland Beautiful’s mission is to improve the community’s appearance through partnerships, education and action.
Contest Rules:
- Call Kelly Hancock at the Chamber of Commerce at 8943157 for pick-up of artwork.
- Only one piece of artwork per student.
- The student’s full name must only be written on the back of the artwork.
Design Rules:
- All entries must include the slogan: Take Care of Texas. It’s the only one we’ve got.
- Illustrate positive ways Texas can help keep our air and water clean, conserve water and energy and reduce waste.
- Designs must not include company logos, products brands or store names.
- Entries with words in the design must be spelled correctly.
- If the state of Texas flag is depicted, representation of the Texas flag striping must be accurate (i.e., white stripe above red stripe).
- Artwork must be on an 8.5x11” piece of paper in landscape format.
- No tracing, photography, or collages will be accepted.
- Entries cannot be framed or mounted.
- Entries may have a seasonal theme (spring, summer, fall, winter).
- Design cannot have any profanity.
Winner Selection:
- First through thirds will be awarded per Levelland ISDcampuses and Levelland Christian School.
-Winners will win coupons from local restaurants.
-Winners will be announced in Spring of 2024. Artwork will be submitted to the Take Care Of Texas Art contest with a signed waiver.
Levelland is an affiliate of the Keep Texas Beautiful program and the local mission is to improve the community’s appearance through partnerships, education and action. Beatification and litter prevention is a key aspect of community development and importance in welcoming visitors as well as our local quality of life.
Keep Levelland Beautiful was awarded Gold Status within Keep Texas Beautiful based upon completion of litter prevention and beautification efforts for the past four years. In 2020, Levelland won the Governor’s Community Achievement.
