A number of different businesses, offices, and schools will be closing on Monday, Sept. 7, due to Labor Day; however, some places will remain open.
The Levelland City Hall and the Hockley County Courthouse, as well as the Hockley County Memorial Library will be closed for the holiday.
There will also be no trash collection, but it will resume the following day.
Students get to enjoy a day off from school, with Levelland ISD and South Plains College and other schools closing for Labor Day. Classes will go back to normal the next day.
Banks and credit unions will close their doors on Monday, as well as the Levelland post office. The regular hours will once again resume the following day.
While many places will be closed for Labor Day, some will remain open, such as Covenant Hospital, which will be operating during normal hours.
If planning a Labor Day cookout, Walmart and United Supermarkets will be open during Labor Day to fulfill any shopping needs.
