Leadership Levelland graduates celebrated

The Leadership Levelland Program wrapped up this week with the graduation of their 2024 class.

The program provides quality leadership training to motivate and encourage civic leaders to develop personal leadership characteristics and skills with in themselves.

Participants were also be given information on the history, government, social needs and opportunities existing processes. The course spanned eight months and is every other year after.

It is based on tuition as it is $975 and is not refundable if the course is not completed. Tuition costs cover transportation, classroom activities, presenters, meals, official Leadership Levelland shirts and other program supplies.

Participants have a mandatory team building retreat followed by an eight-hour class day each month. The classes teach professional development including time management, life balance, goal setting, personality studies, human interaction and leadership skills development.

Afternoon classes include meeting community leaders and industry tours showcasing local educational facilities, economic development, law enforcement , local judicial process, medical industry, oil field and energy manufacturing and agriculture.

The graduation ceremony was held in the South Plains College Sundown Room. The speaker of the event was Matt Rush.
