The Levelland Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors will be holding a regular meeting Thursday, November 9, beginning at 12 p.m. at City Hall.
Agenda items slated for the meeting include: Consider and take necessary action on minutes of the October meeting; Consider and take necessary action on monthly financials, August, September, October 2023; Consider and take necessary action accepting proposal from REsimplifi Master Subscription Agreement; Directors Report followed by a Rail Park Update; Convene into executive session in accordance with Tex. Gov’t Code §551.071 to seek the advice about pending or contemplated litigation, settlement offers or on matters in which duty of the attorney under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas conflicts with Tex. Gov’t Code Ch. 551 - Envirotech Chemical Services, Inc. (Arxada/ Envirotech); and Reconvene into open session and take action regarding matters discussed in executive session and authorize the executive director and/or president of the LEDC to execute any related agreements or documents.
The Levelland Economic Development Corporation will be hosting their annual Industry Appreciation Luncheon Thursday, November 16, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Mallet Event Center.

The event will include keynote speaker Dr. Ray Perryman. Perryman is President and CEO of The Perryman Group, an economic research and analysis firm based in Waco, Texas.
He holds a BS in Mathematics from Baylor University and a PhD in Economics from Rice University. He feels that the BS would have been somehow more appropriate for Economics. He took his first economics course on a coin flip between economics and psychology.
In addition to his earned degrees, Dr. Perryman has received an honorary doctorate from the International Institute for Advanced Studies.
