11/17/22 – DISPATCH 1:39 PM – CLEARED 2 PM – HOCKLEY
The fire department received a request for assistance from the Levelland PD at the 1300 block of E Highway 114 to get into an ATM. Upon arrival, the department assisted multiple agencies and found the ATM to be inoperable.
11/16/22 DISPATCH 10:26 AM – CLEARED 10:50 AM – LEVELLAND The fire department received a call from Levelland PD in reference to multiple individuals stuck in an elevator. Units responded to the area in the 200 block of N College Avenue finding two employees of the business stuck in the elevator. LFD personnel managed to open the doors with the elevator keys.
11/16/22 – DISPATCH 12:06 AM – CLEARED 12:26 AM – LEVELLAND The fire department received a call from dispatch in reference to a carbon monoxide detector going off at a residence in the 100 block of Elgin Avenue. After arrival, the detector was still active. Fire personnel combed through the house looking for traces of carbon monoxide but did not find anything. Residents of the household were advised to monitor their surroundings and contact the department of any changes.
11/15/22 – DISPATCH 8:13 PM – CLEARED 8:32 PM – LEVELLAND The fire department received a call in reference to a three-year-old locked inside a vehicle at a residence in the 1000 block of Alamo Road. A wrecker service and the Levelland PD also responded to the location. Personnel were able to gain access into the locked vehicle with no injuries to the child.
11/14/22 – DISPATCH 6:29 PM – CLEARED 9:09 PM – HOCKLEY
The fire department was notified by dispatch of a multiple vehicle wreck at W FM 1585 and Highway 385. Upon arrival, fire units extracted two passengers and were transported by Levelland EMS.
11/13/22 – DISPATCH 6:17 AM – CLEARED 7:10 – HOCKLEY
The fire department received a call in reference to a vehicle fire in the N U.S. Highway 385 and Jamaica Road.
11/11/12 – DISPATCH 6:20 PM – CLEARED 6:31 PM – LEVELLAND The fire department received a report of a possible smoking vehicle in the parking lot of E Ellis Street AND Alamo Road. Upon arrival, it was determined that it was the radiator and was not a vehicle fire. The scene was cleared.
11/10/22 – DISPATCH 12:02 AM – CLEARED – 1:08 AM – HOCKLEY The Levelland FD was requested by the Levelland EMS to respond to the area of 3535 FM 300. EMS reported multiple injuries reported and Upon arrival, fire personnel assisted EMS in removing patients from the vehicle to the ambulance. No forcible extrication was need. Units also assisted in protecting the scene and emergency personnel.
11/9/22 – DISPATCH 9:40 PM – CLEARED 10:25 PM – LEVELLAND The fire department received a report from dispatch in regard to a business in the 800 block of Austin St with a water flow activation. Upon arrival, it was discovered that a valve had been broken on the suppression system. Fire personnel assisted with turnover off the valve and getting water out of the business.
11/7/22 – DISPATCH 11:09 AM – CLEARED 11:25 AM – LEVELLAND The department received a call from PD stating there was a fire in the 100 block of Cottonwood Lane in an alley. Upon arrival, the water department was on scene and advised the fire units where it was. The fire was small and against the brick shed. Once the fire was extinguished it was determined there was no property damage.
11-5-22 – DISPATCH 2:46 PM – CLEARED 3:24 PM – SMYER
The fire department received a call from a citizen that a car was on fire two miles east of Smyer Highway 114 between the ethanol plant and city of Smyer. Fire units responded and Smyer Fire Department was contacted. Upon arrival, a four-door passenger car was fully engulfed on the north side of the highway. Units extinguished the fire and cleared the scene.
11/5/22 – DISPATCH 5:51 AM – CLEARED 6:06 AM – LEVELLAND The fire department received a call reporting a fire alarm on the 700 block of E Highway 114. Upon arrival, smoke was noticed coming from a pantry where they prepare breakfast. It was determined they burnt something while cooking allowing for smoke to fill the room.
11/5/22 – DISPATCH 4:38 AM – CLEARED 4:45 AM – LEVELLAND The fire department received a call in regard to a fire alarm going off at the Library of South Plains College. Fire units met with a campus officer to gain access to the building. After investigation, it was determined to be a false alarm as it was triggered with no smoke or fire.
