2/28/2023 - DISPATCH 4:45 PM - CLEARED 4:55 PM LEVELLAND Fire units were dispatched to the area of Austin Street and Avenue D in reference to a gas odor. The source was unable to be located.
Fire units were dispatched to the 300 block of Pine Street in regard to a fire. Upon arrival, fire personnel were informed the alarm was set off after being taken off the wall during remodel.
2/28/2023 - DISPATCH 5:30 AM - CLEARED 6:34 AM ROPESVILLE The fire department received a call in reference to a car fire in Ropesville near US HWY 82 and Owl Road. Upon arrival, fire units extinguished the fire and secured the car.
2/26/2023 - DISPATCH 6:40 PM - CLEARED 7:30 PM - HOCKLEY COUNTY
The fire department was dispatched to a grass fire at the Levelland Municipal Airport. Upon arrival, fire personnel extinguished the fire and all hot spots. A city maintainer was used to make a fire break.
2/26/2023 - DISPATCH 8:32 PM - CLEARED 9:05 PM LEVELLAND The fire department received a call reporting a tree leaning on a powerline at the 600 block of West Avenue. Upon arrival, fire personnel contacted dispatch and advised them to contact Xcel. Fire personnel stayed on the scene until Xcel arrived.
2/26/2023 - DISPATCH 7:42 PM - CLEARED 7:52 PM LEVELLAND
The fire department received a call regarding power lines down in the road near the intersection of Alamo Road and Sunrise Lane. Upon arrival, fire personnel found a power pole in the roadway. There was no fire and Xcel was notified of the location. Hockley Sherriff’s Office blocked the road and released fire personnel from the scene.
2/26/23 - DISPATCH 7:34 PM - CLEARED 7:50 PM - LEVELLAND
The fire department was called to the 1400 block of West Monroe Street regarding sparking powerlines in an ally. Fire personnel were unable to locate a fire. Xcel was notified of the location and fire personnel were released from the scene.
2/26/2023 - DISPATCH 5 PM - CLEARED 5:11 PM - LEVELLAND
The fire department received a call that a power line was down at the 1400 block of 5th Street. Upon arrival, it was determined the telephone pole had broken in half. Dispatch contacted Windstream.
2/26/2023 - DISPATCH 4:45 PM - CLEARED 5:10 PM LEVELLAND The fire department received a call of a line down at the 700 block of 1st Street. Upon arrival, it was determined to be a main transmission line. Xcel was contacted and notified.

Levelland PD notified the fire department there was a tree on a power line at the 1200 block of College Avenue. Upon arrival, a tree limb was leaning on a power line and Xcel was notified.
2/24/2023 - DISPATCH - 12:34 PM - CLEARED 12:46 PM LEVELLAND Levelland EMS requested assistance from Levelland FD at a residence in the 200 block of Willow Wood Lane.
2/23/2023 - DISPATCH 9:57 AM - CLEARED 10:15 AM LEVELLAND Levelland EMS asked if fire units could respond to a call at the 500 block of Cactus Drive due to not having an ambulance available at the time.
2/23/2023 - DISPATCH 9:41 AM - CLEARED 9:57 AM LEVELLAND Levelland EMS asked if fire units could respond to a call at the 1000 block of Sherman Avenue due to not having an ambulance available at the time.
2/23/2023 - DISPATCH 9:20 AM - CLEARED - 9:41 AM LEVELLAND The fire department received a call from the Levelland Police Department stating a resident at the 500 block of 5th Street had fallen. Fire personnel were needed to make entry into the home.
2/19/2023 – DISPATCH 6:58 PM – CLEARED 7:16 PM – LEVELLAND
The fire department received reports of a commercial fire alarm at the 100 block of Arkansas avenue. Upon arrival, there was no visible smoke. After making contact with the homeowner, it was determined the alarm was activated by cooking.
2/18/2023 – DISPATCH 10:20 AM – CLEARED 10:31 AM – HOCKLEYCOUNTY
The fire department responded to a vehicle accident at FM 41 and US 385 to assist with removing passengers from the vehicle. Upon arrival, the passengers were out the vehicle and the roadway.
2/17/2023 – DISPATCH 7:21 PM – CLEARED 7:40 PM – LEVELLAND
The fire department received a call from the police department stating a resident on the 700 block of Polar street said there was a gas leak at the meter. Fire personnel conducted an investigation with a four-gas monitor. There was not an indication of a gas leak and no gas present at the scene.
2/16/2023 – DISPATCH 2:23 PM – CLEARED 2:43 PM – LEVELLAND
The fire department received a call from a home health nurse that a patient had fallen at the 2000 block of Harvard drive. All EMS units were responding to calls and unable to respond. While fire personnel were in route, they were advised EMS would meet them at the scene. Once at the scene, responding personnel assisted with picking the patient up.
2/16/2023 – DISPATCH 2:43 PM – CLEARED 3:17 PM – LEVELLAND
The fire department received a report that a company hit a gas line in the North 700 block of Avenue T. After arriving at the scene, fire personnel made contact with an onsite representative and determined Atmos Energy would need to fix the issue. Once an Atmos representative arrived the scene was released.
2/16/2023 – DISPATCH 4:26 PM – CLEARED 4:42 PM – HOCKLEYCOUNTY
The fire department received reports of a grass fire at the intersection on 300 and Kelly road. Fire personnel were unable to locate a fire or any possible fire sources.
2/15/2023 - DISPATCH 12:20 PM - CLEARED 12:39 PM HOCKLEYCOUNTY The fire department received a call of a chicken coop on fire in the 4900 block of Sunrise Lane. Fire personnel responded to the residence where the fire was already out. The area was wet down before departure.
2/15/2023 - DISPATCH 8:35 AM - CLEARED 9:44 AM - SMYER
The department received a request for assistance from Levelland EMS to assistance on MVA in the 6900 block of E HWY 114. Upon arrival, West Carlisle FD was already on scene and Levelland fire units provided traffic control.
2/11/2023 - DISPATCH 1:45 AM - CLEARED 3:25 AM LEVELLAND Levelland fire department received a call regarding a carbon monoxide detector activation on the 1700 block of Wilson Street. Upon arrival, fire personnel detected carbon monoxide inside the residence. An additional unit was requested for ventilation. Fire personnel requested Atmos Energy to respond to the location. After approximately an hour, Atmos Energy was still not on the scene. Fire personnel advised the residents to turn off all gas units until Atmos Energy arrived.
