The fire department was dispatched to Deer Creek Apartments and were advised two young boys were attempting to start a fire.
3/25/2023 – DISPATCH 9:39 PM – CLEARED 9:50 PM – LEVELLAND
The fire department received a call from the police department stating that the callers neighbor had smoke coming from a residence on the 200 block of Pecan street. After an investigation, fire personnel found the resident burning limbs in the backyard. Fire personnel advised the resident of the city ordinance and waited while the resident extinguished the fire.
3/25/2023 – DISPATCH 5:57 PM – CLEARED 6:56 PM – HOCKLEYCOUNTY
The fire department received a call from the police department stating there was a car fire at W State Highway 114 and Ellis street. Upon arrival, fire personnel observed the vehicle engulfed in flames and a fire moving rapidly in a grass field. Fire personnel on the scene called for additional firetrucks and extinguished the fire. Bush Wrecker was contacted to move the vehicle from the roadway.
3/25/2023 – DISPATCH 1:35 AM – CLEARED 1:39 AM – LEVELLAND
The fire department received a call in reference to a beeping smoke alarm at the 800 block of Avenue F with no smoke or fire present inside the residence. Fire personnel noted no fire or smoke showing upon arrival in the report and assisted the resident in replacing the smoke detector battery.

The fire department received a call for a fire alarm at the 700 block of Koala road. The alarm company called back to report it was a false alarm.
3/22/2023 DISPATCH 10:00 PM – CLEARED 10:32 PM – HOCKLEYCOUNTY
The fire department was dispatched to the area of FM 1940 and W Ellis street in regard to a gas odor present. Upon arrival, Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) gas was detected. The report states fire personnel returned to the fire department after Oxy arrived on the scene.

The fire department was dispatched to Alamo road and E State Highway 114 to assist with a motor-vehicle accident. Upon arrival, fire personnel assisted with traffic control.
3/21/2023 DISPATCH 5:19 PM – CLEARED 6:21 PM – LEVELLAND
The fire department was contacted to return to 2400 block of 15th street regarding a fire previously extinguished rekindling. Once on the scene, fire personnel broke apart hay bales to check for any fire extension.
3/21/2023 DISPATCH 3:37 PM – CLEARED 4:32 PM – LEVELLAND
The fire department received reports of a controlled burn that got out of hand. Upon arrival, two hay bales were found to be on fire. Fire personnel extinguished the hay bales.
3/21/2023 DISPATCH 9:29 AM – CLEARED 10:27 AM – LEVELLAND
The fire department received reports of a gas meter being struck at 100 block of Linda lane. Atmos Energy was contacted as fire units were enroute. Upon arrival, fire personnel found the gas meter to be struck and spewing above ground. Fire personnel shut off the line and waited for Atmos Energy to arrive. Once Atmos Energy arrived, the scene was released to them.

The fire department received a report of a traffic accident at Avenue H and E State Highway 114. Fire personnel responded and aided by controlling traffic.

The fire department was dispatched to the 1600 block of Austin street in reference to a gas odor. Fire personnel were unable to locate the smell.
3/19/2023 - DISPATCH 10:49 AM - CLEARED 11:50 AM LEVELLAND The fire department was dispatched to the 1800 block of avenue I in reference to a smoke odor. Upon arrival, fire personnel found a light fixture to be smoking. Fire personnel removed the light fixture from the wall and advised the homeowner to contact an electrician.
3/14/2023 - DISPATCH 5:28 PM - CLEARED 9:15 PM LEVELLAND The fire department was contacted in regard to smoke showing from a residence at 221 Peach.
3/14/2023 - DISPATCH 10:17 AM - CLEARED 10:30 AM HOCKLEYCOUNTY The fire department dispatched fire units to FM 1490 and America Road in regard to a small grass fire in a bar ditch.
3/12/2023 – DISPATCH 7:03 PM – CLEARED 7:30 PM – LEVELLAND
The fire department was dispatched to a gas leak on the 400 block of 11th street. Atmos Energy was notified prior to fire personnel being dispatched. Upon arrival, fire personnel found gas present. The gas was shut off.
3/12/2023 – DISPATCH 4:48 PM – CLEARED 5:30 PM – LEVELLAND
The fire department was called to the 2000 block of Mustang Drive regarding bushes on fire. The fire was already out when fire personnel arrived. The owner of the residence used a garden hose to spray the bushes. After investigating, fire personnel found the eve and edge of the roof on the residence was burnt and melted. Fire personnel used a thermal imaging camera (TIC) to check the inside and attic of the residence for fire extension and smoke. Neither were found inside the residence. Neighbors reported the owner was burning the grass with a propane weed burner then noticed large flames and heavy smoke coming from between the houses.
3/9/2023 - DISPATCH 3:14 PM - CLEARED 4:44 PM LEVELLAND The fire department was dispatched to the 200 block of Bobby Street in reference to reports of a structure fire. Upon arrival, fire personnel observed light smoke. The fire was extinguished prior to fire personnel arriving. Fire personnel shut off all electrical sources and checked for fire extension. There was a small spot in the wall that showed heat and flames. Fire personnel extinguished the area and monitored for any other extension. No other extension areas were found.
3/6/2023 – DISPATCH 5:12 PM – CLEARED 6:25 PM – HOCKLEYCOUNTY
The fire department received reports of a control burn near the intersection of Brazil Road and US Highway 385 which had gotten out of control. Upon arrival, additional units were requested for suppression. Fire units worked to contain the fire and keep it from spreading to additional structures. The scene was controlled, and the fire was suppressed.
3/5/2023 – DISPATCH 8:26 PM – CLEARED 20:33 PM – LEVELLAND
The fire department received a call of smoke at the intersection of Avenue E and 10th street. The fire was put out upon arrival.
3/3/2023 – DISPATCH 10:54 PM – CLEARED 11:07 PM – LEVELLAND
The fire department received reports of an unauthorized burn across the street from the 1500 Block of 11th street. Upon arrival, fire personnel were unable to find anything burning. After checking the area, it was cleared.
3/2/2023 – DISPATCH 8:10 AM – CLEARED 9:00 AM – HOCKLEYCOUNTY
The fire department received a call from dispatch to respond to a major traffic accident with entrapment fire. Fire personnel responded and assisted EMS.
