7/2/2023 – DISPATCH 4:54 AM – CLEARED 5:25 AM – HOCKLEYCOUNTY
The fire department was dispatched to reports of a fire alarm on the100 block of Mandy Circle at 4:54 a.m. Upon arrival, there was no smoke or firing showing. Fire personnel searched the residence with a thermal imager but were unable to find any signs of heat signatures. The residents were told to replace the batteries and contact the homeowner.
7/1/2023 – DISPATCH 1:13 PM – CLEARED 1:38 PM – LEVELLAND
The fire department responded to reports of a gas meter that had been struck on the1500 block of Avenue H at 1:13 p.m. Upon arrival, fire personnel advised dispatch to contact Atmos Energy and were told the estimated time of arrival would be in 45 minutes. Fire personnel shut off all gas and cleared the scene.
6/30/2023 – DISPATCH 9:40 AM – CLEARED 11:15 AM – HOCKLEYCOUNTY
The fire department was dispatched to South US Highway 385 and FM 301to aide the Sundown Volunteer Fire Department with a trash truck on fire at 9:40 a.m. Upon arrival, the trash truck had dumped the load on the side of the highway. Fire personnel began fire suppression and waited for Republic Services to clean up the debris before clearing the scene.
6/30/2023 – DISPATCH 1:10 AM – CLEARED 1:26 AM – LEVELLAND
The fire department responded to Avenue L and 4 th Street regarding a fire caused by fireworks at 4th Street Park at 1:10 a.m. Upon arrival, fire personnel located the fire on the basketball court before extinguishing the fire.
6/29/2023 – DISPATCH 10:48 PM – CLEARED 12:40 AM – HOCKLEYCOUNTY
The fire department received a call reporting a structure fire on the 6000 block of Beaver Road in Smyer and the Smyer Volunteer Fire Department did not respond. Upon arrival, fire personnel found Smyer Volunteer Fire Department on the scene and assisted with extinguishing the fire.
6/29/2023 – DISPATCH 10:16 PM – CLEARED 2:00 AM – HOCKLEYCOUNTY
The fire department received a call reporting a structure fire on the 3400 block of FM 1490 at 10:16 p.m. Upon arrival, fire personnel found the carport, the North end of the residence and a truck burning. The fire was extinguished and fire personnel stood by to make sure there was no extension into the rest of the residence.
6/28/2023 – DISPATCH 7:49 PM – CLEARED 8:00 PM – LEVELLAND
The fire department was dispatched to an alley on the 1000 block of 11 th Street after receiving reports of a dumpster fire. Upon arrival, trash was found burning in a receptacle.
6/27/2023 – DISPATCH 5:20 PM – CLEARED 5:32 PM – HOCKLEYCOUNTY
The Levelland Fire Department responded to a small grass fire near Rover Road and West State Highway 114. Upon arrival, the fire was out and fire personnel wet down the area.
6/27/2023 – DISPATCH 9:02 AM – CLEARED 9:45 AM – HOCKLEYCOUNTY
The police department advised the fire department of a residential fire alarm on the 6700 block of Trump Court. Smyer Volunteer Fire Department was requested to respond but were unable to do so. Upon arrival, Levelland fire personnel observed Wolfforth Fire Department on the scene and were informed there were no signs of a residential fire.
6/26/2023 – DISPATCH 9:50 PM – CLEARED 12:29 AM – LEVELLAND
The fire department received reports of a motorcycle and a vehicle crash near 13 th Street and Avenue E. Upon arrival, fire personnel assisted Emergency Medical Services with CPR and transport. Fire personnel then aided the police department by providing light onto the scene.
6/23/2023 – DISPATCH 9:06 PM – CLEARED 9:50 PM – LEVELLAND
The fire department received a call stating that someone had hit a gas line. Upon arrival, fire personnel found a resident on the 100 block of Hickory Street building a fence. While digging, the resident exposed an old gas line which was leaking.
6/25/2023 – DISPATCH 3:11 PM – CLEARED 3:40 PM – HOCKLEYCOUNTY
The Levelland fire department received a call in reference to black smoke in the area of Veretto Road and the 2300 block of East Ellis Street. The caller was unable to identify an exact location. Upon arrival, a Sheriff’s Deputy and fire personnel were unable to locate any smoke or fire near the reported area.
