Levelland Fire Report

9/20/2020 – DISPATCHED 8:23 P.M. – CLEARED 8:40 P.M. – LEVELLAND

The LFD received a report from dispatch regarding a fire alarm at a residence in the 140 block of Detroit Avenue. Upon arrival, fire personnel made contact with residential aide and was advised there was no fire, but assistance was needed to reset the alarm. Fire personnel assisted resetting the alarm before clearing the scene.

9/20/2023 – DISPATCHED 5:15 P.M. – CLEARED 6:04 P.M. – HOCKLEYCOUNTY

Fire crews with the LFD were dispatched to the 4000 block of India Road after receiving reports of heavy black smoke. Upon arrival, fire personnel observed individuals out with a pit fire burning excess. The individuals were advised to contact the department beforehand before returning to the station.

9/20/2023 – DISPATCHED 9:38 A.M. – CLEARED 10 A.M. – LEVELLAND

The LFD was dispatched to a fire alarm located at a residence within the 1400 block of W. Ellis. Upon arrival, fire personnel observed no smoke showing. Crew made contact with individuals that were at the residence and confirmed it was a system malfunction and everything was deemed clear.

9/19/2023 – DISPATCHED 5:06 P.M. – CLEARED 6:17 P.M. –

HOCKLEYCOUNTY

The LFD received a report from dispatch regarding a grass fire at Pep. Upon arrival, fire crews found the fire had went out and focused on the hot spots before returning to the station.

9/19/2023 – DISPATCHED 2:57 P.M. – CLEARED 3:09 P.M. – LEVELLAND

The LFD received a report of a grass fire at a residence within the 1200 block of 12th Street. Upon arrival, there was no grass fire found as an individual had caught an ant bed on fire.

9/16/2023 - DISPATCHED - 2:10 P.M. - CLEARED 2:54 P.M. LEVELLAND Levelland EMS requested the assistance of the LFD at a residence within the 1400 block of E. Ellis Street. While enroute, EMS canceled their call for assistance.

9/15/2023 - DISPATCHED 2:10 A.M. - CLEARED 2:54 A.M. HOCKLEYCOUNTY The LFD received reports of a fire alarm at a residence located in the 1400 block of W. Ellis Street. Upon arrival, crews noticed a security gate. The LFD contacted dispatch regarding the gate and asked for a deputy to be dispatched. Once on scene, the deputy drove around the residence and verified there was no smoke or fire. After repeated attempts to contact the homeowner, the scene was cleared.
