An officer was dispatched to the 1500 block of avenue E in reference to a suspicious vehicle. After conducting a field investigation, a report was generated for the criminal offense of theft between $100 and $750.
3/19/2023 – 9:51 PM – Law Enforcement Center
An officer was dispatched to the Law Enforcement Center in reference to child custody. After conducting a field investigation, a report was generated for the criminal offense of interference with child custody.
3/18/2023 – 8:00 AM – Law Enforcement Center
The Levelland Police Department was contacted in reference to a sexual assault that occurred approximately 10 years ago. A report was created on March 8, 2023.
3/17/2023 – 9:42 PM – 700 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Street
An officer was dispatched to the 700 block of Martin Luther King Jr. street in reference to two suspicious vehicles. After a field investigation, two male individuals were booked into the Hockley county Jail. The report listed four criminal offenses: possession of marijuana more less than two ounces, possession of marijuana less than two ounces in a drug free zone, possession of a controlled substance in penalty group two between four and 400 grams and possession of a controlled substance in penalty group two between four and 400 grams.
3/15/2023 – 9:13 AM – 300 block of North West Avenue
An officer initiated a motor vehicle stop. The officer then conducted a consent search of the vehicle and person which revealed contraband. The driver was arrested and booked into Hockley County Jail for the criminal offense of manufacturing and delivering a controlled substance in penalty group one between four and 200 grams.
3/15/23 - 1400 block of 8th Street
Around 10:42 p.m., an officer responded to the area in reference to an unwanted subject.
3/13/23 - 200 block of Magnolia Street
An officer responded to a residence in the location around 9:21 a.m. An arrest was made fir the violation of a protective order.
3/13/2023 - 1800 block of Wilson Street
An officer responded to a residence in the area around 3:26 a.m., in reference to a disturbance. A report for disturbance, burglary was made.
3/12/2023 - 200 block of Cherry Street
An officer responded to University Park Apartments in reference to criminal mischief.
3/10/2023 - 200 Hickory Street
An officer was dispatched to the 200 block of Hickory street in reference to a possible wanted suspect being inside a residence. After conducting a field investigation, a male individual was placed under arrest for a local warrant. The individual was transported to the Hockley County Jail without incident.
3/9/2023 - 800 block of Avenue B
The Levelland Police Department executed an arrest warrant on the 800 block of Avenue B. After contact was made with the wanted subject, they were arrested without incident.
3/9/2023 - Law Enforcement Center
An officer was dispatched to the Law Enforcement Center to speak with an individual regarding a child having run-away. A report for a run-away was generated and the information entered in the Texas Crime Information Center and the National Crime Information Center.
3/8/2023 - 800 block of Houston Street
The Levelland Police Department was called to the 800 block of Houston street in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, suspect information was able to be confirmed and an arrest warrant was obtained for the suspect.
3/7/2023 – 1400 block of Hickory Street
A resource officer was contacted by a Hockley County Sheriff’s Office investigator in reference to a male who had kids enrolled in Levelland ISD. The male went to un-enroll his children from Levelland ISD and was placed under arrest for two felony warrants.
3/6/2023 - 200 block of College Street
An officer was dispatched to the 200 block of College street in reference to a theft. A report was generated describing the offense as theft more than $2,500 with two or more previous convictions.
3/6/2023 - 1100 block of Houston Street
An officer was dispatched to a residence on the 1100 block of Houston street in reference to an assault. A report was generated describing the offense as assault threat or offensive touch. The report also stated there were personal weapons.
3/6/2023 – 300 block of East Washington Boulevard
An officer responded to the location in reference to an assault that had already occurred. A report was generated with the description of assault, family violence strangulation.
3/6/2023 – 1400 block of Ellis Street
A school resource officer was contacted by a middle school counselor in reference to a student. After gathering further information, Hockley County Sheriff’s Office was contacted for a criminal offense that occurred in the county
3/6/2023 - 200 block of South College Avenue
An officer was dispatched to the location in reference to an alarm. After conducting a field investigation, a report was made with the offense of criminal mischief between $100 and $750. The report stated a blunt object was used as a weapon.
3/5/2023 – 1100 block of Avenue N
An officer responded to the 1100 block of Avenue N in reference to an accident. A report was later generated with two offenses: an accident involving damage to a vehicle more than $200 and possession of a penalty group one substance between one and four grams.
3/5/2023 - 300 block of 16th Street
An officer responded to the location regarding a verbal disturbance between a mother and son. A report for assault threat or offensive touch and simple assault was generated. The report described this as a domestic fight.
3/4/2023 - 200 block of West Avenue
An officer conducted a traffic stop at the location for speeding. The report states the driver was traveling at 38 mph in a 30 mph zone. The vehicle stopped in the 1500 block of W Highway 114 and an arrest was made for the criminal offense of driving with an invalid license with previous conviction/suspensions without financial responsibility.
