MEET THE NEW LHS ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL-

1992 Levelland ISD graduate Craig Black is the new assistant principal at Levelland High School. He says, 'I am excited to join the Levelland High School staff as an assistant principal for the 24-25 school year. I have been in education for 27 total years as a teacher, coach, assistant principal, and principal.' He graduated from Angelo State University in 1997 with a Bachelors of Science in mathematics and a minor in kinesiology. Black started his career as a teacher and coach in Lampasas. He also coached and taught at Kermit, Borger, and Anson. For the last 11 years, he has been with Spearman ISD. For the first six years at Spearman, he taught Algebra I and Calculus and was the head boys' basketball and cross-country coach. In 2019, Black obtained his Masters in Educational Leadership from Lamar University and became the assistant principal and was promoted to principal at Spearman Junior High the same year. In 2021 Spearman Junior High was recognized as a National Blue Ribbon school and it was the only public junior high school to receive such an honor. He and wife Stacie, who will be teaching at Levelland ABC this fall, will celebrate their 25th anniversary this summer. They have two children. Peyton just graduated from Angelo State University and will remain in San Angelo as an accountant. Landrie just graduated from Spearman High School and will start at Texas Tech University this fall.
