A collision involving a motorcycle at the intersection of FM 400 and FM 3183 left one driver dead, and another with serious injuries on Friday in Hale County. Around 9 p.m. Friday, Anthony Ray Acosta, 20 of Plainview was traveling South along FM 400 on a motorcycle.
A pickup truck driven by Jorge Luis Riojas, 31 of Plainview, failed to yield right of way to Acosta at the FM 3183 intersection, pulling into the roadway.
The vehicles collided, ejecting Acosta from the motorcycle. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Judge Collins.
Riojas was airlifted to UMC for serious injuries sustained in the crash.
