Multiple arrests were made this week in a span of two with federal charges pending after local law enforcement agencies conducted search warrants within the City of Levelland.
On Thursday, a traffic stop was conducted in the 200 block of College Avenue by Levelland Police Department (LPD) officers and a Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigations Divisions Special Agent (DPS CID) after a fugitive was observed in the vehicle.
Maria Guadalupe Lucera (Lupita) was arrested on an outstanding Hockley County bond surrender for manufacture, delivery of a controlled substance penalty group one, between four grams and 200 grams. She also had a federal warrant for possession with the intent to deliver methamphetamine. During the search of the vehicle, 76.9 grams of methamphetamine was discovered.
On the same day, the LPD received information regarding William Henry Williams that had multiple felony warrants out of Wise, Colorado and BridgePort, Texas. Levelland CID and partol responded to the Crockett Circle area and contacted the homeowner. The wanted subjects girlfriend, Amy Nicole Anthony was contacted and after a detail search of inside and outside of the home, Williams was found in the attic area and arrested on five outstanding warrants. Anthony was also arrested for two outstanding felony warrants. No injuries were reported and all subjects were arrested without incident.
William’s warrants included: possession of a controlled substance penalty group one, less than one gram; burglary of a building; criminal trespass of a habitation; and two warrants for theft or property between $750 and $2,500.
Anthony’s warrants included: possession of a controlled substance penalty group one, between four grams and 200 grams; and tampering, fabricating physical evidence with intent to impair.
On Wednesday morning, the LPD CID and patrol conducted a search warrant at a residence in the 1500 block of 9th Street.
Following the warrant search, law enforcement personnel seized roughly 8.5 ounces of methamphetamine. Heather Jane Whitehead and Henry Tienda Jr., were both arrested for manufacturing, delivery of a controlled substance penalty group one, between 200 grams and 400 grams. Both Whitehead and Tienda Jr., are in custody at the Hockley County Jail pending federal charges.
Following the arrests of both days, law enforcement personnel seized 315 grams of methamphetamine in two days.
