Amber Lambright, Hockley County Extension Agent in charge of 4-H & Youth Development reported that Parks, Bryar, Bradley, Kade, Colt, BreAllyn, Addilyn, and Adleigh took a quick break from school to represent Hockley County 4-H at Commissioners Court. They had the opportunity to talk with our County Commissioners and County Judge about their 4-H experiences and read the official proclamation recognizing October 4-10, 2026, as National 4-H Week in the county. This year's theme, 'Beyond Ready,' represents exactly what they hope to accomplish through 4-H—helping young people develop the confidence, leadership skills, responsibility, and hands-on experiences they need to be ready for whatever comes next. She said they are incredibly proud of these young people for representing Hockley County 4-H and are grateful to County Commissioners and County Judge for their support of 4-H .
