According to the Levelland Police Department, a death occurred Saturday morning following a domestic disturbance call.
Levelland Police Chief Albert Garcia stated that officers received a call referencing a domestic type call in a residence located in the 1800 block of Houston Street around 1:40 a.m.
Upon arrival, officers located two individuals within the residence with a third male with multiple stab wounds. Officers provided emergency firs-aid until Levelland EMS arrived. The individual was transported to Covenant Hospital Levelland where he later died.
One individual was identified as Eliasar Tienda who was arrested and charged with murder and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. Garcia says Tienda was arrested and taken to the Hockley County Jail.
The victims information has yet to be released as the investigation is still on-going. Tienda remains in the Hockley County Jail on a $1.1 million bond.
