One individual was declared deceased following a Lamb County vehicle collision Wednesday night.
According to a Department of Public Safety (DPS) report, two individuals operating separate vehicles collided on U.S. Highway 84 near the intersection of FM 37.
Sherri Harrison, 57, of Muleshoe was operating a 2009 Toyota Camry when she left a private drive off of U.S. Highway 84. Clay Allen Hayes, 66, of Albuquerque was operating a 1998 Kenworth truck tractor, towing a semi-trailer traveling on U.S. Highway 84.
The report stated Harrison failed to yield right of way while exiting a private drive and pulled into the path of Hayes. Harrison collided with Hayes in the intersection.
Harrison was transported to Lamb County Healthcare Center, where she was later pronounced deceased. Hayes was reported to not have any injuries sustained following the collision.
