5/29/2023 – 1700 block of Austin Street
An officer was dispatched to the 1700 block of Austin Street at approximately 6:04 a.m. regarding a verbal disturbance. After completing a field investigation, a report for assault or family violence was generated.
5/28/2023 – 200 block of South College Avenue
An officer responded to Allsup’s at approximately 5:54 a.m. regarding a hit and run. A report for duty on striking an unattended vehicle was generated with no suspects at the time.
5/28/2023 – 400 block of Avenue G
An officer conducted a welfare check on the 400 block of Avenue G at approximately 9:50 a.m. regarding two minors. A report was generated for abandonment or endanger child with imminent danger or bodily injury and interference with public duties. The report states Child Protective Services were contacted.
5/28/2023 – Cactus Drive and Alamo Road
Officers were dispatched to the area of Cactus Drive and Alamo Road regarding a male individual with a firearm at approximately 12:14 p.m. After further investigation, a male individual was arrested for public intoxication.
5/25/2023 – 1000 block of West Avenue
An officer responded to the 700 block of West Avenue to assist officers on a traffic stop. The report states the traffic stop resulted in two arrests for possession of a controlled substance in penalty group one.
5/25/2023 – 1000 block of South College
An officer responded to the 1000 block of South College Avenue in reference to broken glass at a building. After conducting a field investigation, a report for burglary of a building was made.
5/24/2023 – 100 block of Peach Street
An officer observed a male subject which he recognized as someone who had active warrants for their arrest on the 200 block of Peach Street at approximately 10:54 a.m. The officer contacted the subject and the subject began to resist the officer. During the altercation, the subject assaulted the officer. The subject then fled on foot and the officer initiated a foot pursuit. The subject was taken into custody on the 100 block of House Avenue and taken the Hockley County Jail for assault of a peace officer or judge, evading arrest or detention by foot with previous convictions and resisting arrest, search or transport. The subject was also arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, violation of bond or protective order and resisting arrest, search or transport warrants.
5/24/2023 – 400 block of Jackson Street
An officer was dispatched to the 400 block of Jackson Street at approximately 7:03 p.m. regarding a theft of $2,100. The report does not state if there are any suspects or arrest at this time.

5/24/2023 – East Ellis and Highway 385
While patrolling the 1500 block of 1 st Street, an officer observed a red Ford F150 travelling at a high rate of speed at 11:57 p.m. The report states the traffic stop resulted in an arrest for driving while intoxicated and unlawful carrying of a weapon.
5/23/2023 – 300 block of Oak Street
Levelland Police Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Oak Street at approximately 1:00 p.m. in reference to a male individual taking property from a residence. After further investigation, the male individual did not have permission to remove items from the residence. The individual was placed under arrest for burglary of ahabitation.
5/23/2023 – 1800 block of 10 th Street
An officer was responded to two calls on the 1800 block of 10 th Street at 6:37 a.m. and 6:58 a.m. regarding an individual approaching people’s residences. An arrest was made for possession of a controlled substance in penalty group one between one and four grams and tampering with physical evidence with intent to impair.
5/22/2023 – 200 block of South College Avenue
An officer responded to HomeTown Tire at approximately 7:34 a.m. regarding a burglary that had already occurred. A report was made for burglary of building. There were no suspects at the time of the report being made.
5/22/2023 - 1800 block of Cactus Drive
An officer responded to the 1800 block of Cactus Drive at 1:23 a.m. to assist the Hockley County Sheriff’s Office on a traffic stop. The report states the traffic stop resulted in an arrest for Manufacture and Delivery of a controlled substance in penalty group one.
