The Retired Teachers of Hockley County and Cochran Counties (CHART) will meet at the Levelland County Club on Tuesday, October 3, at 11:30 a.m.
Guest speakers will be State Senator Charles Perry, District 17 President Judy Kennedy, and District 17 Legislative Chair Eric McKnight.
Campaign yard signs will be available to members to inform voters of the importance of the passage of Proposition 9 to give retired teachers a cost-of-living increase with no tax increase.
Anyone who has retired from education and receives IRS benefits, whether in public schools or at the college level in these two counties is invited to attend.
Lunch will be available from the buffet for $15 per person. If there are any first-time attendees, lunch will be free. Door prizes will be given at the end of the meeting.
